Yes, it is that time of year, our BIG EXPO!! Saturday, November 5th!
IF you did not recieve the email of Cathys with the parking instructions or ‘line up’ ..please get in contact with her.
As a wonderful ending to “Pit Bull Awareness” month, our Pit Crew had a bake sale at the shelter this past Sunday. Good times, good food, and good fun it looks like what was had by all.
Our first HCAS Pit Crew Bake Sale was a great success! We sold some baked goodies and made some money for our program!
But more importantly, our Pit Bull Ambassadors did what they do best, met their public with good manners, cheerful attitudes and free kisses – thus, changing a few more minds about pit bulls.
And MOST importantly, two of our PBA’s received adoption applications – congratulations to Aiden and Peanut, and to their new prospective families!
The Bella Pet Extravaganza is on the same day in the Sweetbay Exhibit Hall near the Expo Hall. The cost is $5 for an adult. Last year it was at the Convention Center and there were a lot of vendors. If we have enough people to help at the Expo, you might want to take a look at this event. I think it is on till 6 pm.

Scroll down a few posts for info on the expo

The Hillsborough County Animal Services Pit Crew volunteers, our current adoptable Pit Bull Ambassadors and many of our alumni ambassadors flooded the Florida State Fairgrounds on October 22, 2011, in celebration of Pit Bull Awareness Day and to honor a very special Pit Bull Rescue Woman on her birthday!
If you look to the left in the sidebar, you will notice under the doggie pic, a new ‘scrolling calendar’ of sorts which I think will be staying. It will help keep the upcoming ‘events’ right in view, and, you can also click on “All Events” and it will bring up the whole month! Still [...]
October 23, 2011 Along with our ‘special pricing’ for October (all dogs over 40lbs are 1/2 price..and kitties have special pricing to)..this event is kind of a ‘reverse’ Trick or Treat.
